Promise Renewal

Sunday 29^th April is the annual promise renewal ceremony.

This is the one event of the year that we ask all Cubs to attend, along with all the other Scouts in Barnet.

We are one of the smaller Packs so it is all the more important that we make an effort to attend.

Cubs should wear a full and smart uniform, with smart shoes and an ironed scarf.

It is suggested that Section members wear something under their uniforms if the weather is not warm.

We are to be assembled at Hadley Green Road (follows on from high st), Barnet from 13:30 and by 13:50.

We will then parade (with a police escort) to QE Boys School, Queens Road.

We will do the promise renewal ceremony and will be dismissed at 15:45.

Please can you let me know that your child will attend (or if not possible then that they cannot)?

February Half Term Update

Saturday is the Night Hike at Frith Grange. The timings have changed slightly so please drop off at 7:30 and collect at 10:30.

The Chess Competition is on Sunday 11^th March, also at Frith Grange, 2pm – 5pm. Entry is £1. Please let me know if your child would like to enter.

On the last week of term (29^th March) the Cubs will be throwing you a Jubilee Party. You may have received an invitation from them a few weeks ago, bit in case it was not readable…
Cubs is at the normal time of 6.45. Parents and siblings are then invited to join us from 7.45 for activities, music and food prepared by the Cubs. Please do your best to attend as the Cubs will be working hard to get ready for you.

The cost for the Diamond Jubilee Camp will be £65. It is three nights away and will be a camp involving all sections (Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers & Network) of Barnet Borough. Could you please let me know if at this stage you think your child will be attending?

Lastly could you please let me know what size t-shirt your child wears? We are getting some Pack clothing designed and It would be helpful to know this when ordering.

Spring Term Information

Next term begins on 12th January when we will be meeting at 2nd Edgware from 7.15 – 8.45
The Scout and Guide Centre, Rectory Lane, Edgware, HA8 7LG

We then are back at EDRS from 19th January to 29th March
There is no meeting on half term, 16th February.
